Information for Funeral Directors and Funeral Arrangers

I am an Independent Funeral Celebrant and trained with the Academy of Professional Celebrants. I have officiated funeral services throughout the London Area as well as Surrey, namely North East Surrey Crematorium, Hither Green, City of London, West Norwood, Eltham, Beckenham, Guilford, Aldershot, Honor Oak, Croydon. I trained with The Funeral Celebrant Academy and I am passionate about helping family, loved ones and friends remember the life and love of the person who has passed away. I have lived in the London Area since 2008. I have also been involved in funeral arranging and understand all aspects pertaining to what is involved in delivering an efficient, memorable and heartfelt funeral.
I am happy to officiate at either non-religious funerals or funerals for those who still want an element of religion/spirituality included.
My standard fee includes client visit, drafting and agreeing on the eulogy with the client, delivery of the service and eulogy as required on the day of the funeral and a presentation folder with a copy of the tribute on parchment paper for the next of kin and feedback to the Funeral Director or Funeral Arranger following the service.
I have set myself the following guidelines:

I will contact the client within 24 hours to arrange a suitable visit to meet the family/next of kin.

Once I've spoken to them, I‘ll let you know the date and agreed time and place to meet with them.

I’ll check the timings for music and any slideshows with you and keep you updated in case the client requests any changes.

On leaving the family, I will create a draft of the Tribute that will be given to the family for review within 24/48 hours.

Once the family is happy and any amendments are made, I’ll update you again.

I’ll check in with you and the client the day before the service, to confirm that I’ll meet you there.
On The Day

I will arrive 15/30 mins before the service is due to commence.

I will check if the music is correct and in order.

I will meet you and the hearse and relatives at the entrance and follow your instruction.

After the service is completed I will pass the client a folder with a parchment copy of the Eulogy.
